SKM CLAIMS
WORKFLOW |
Step 1.
|
- SKM call centre receives calls from scene of accident
- Assistance rendered at scene of accident within 10-15 minutes
- Car(s) towed back to police station
- Assistance to lodge police report |
Step 2.
|
- Customers
are advise on claims procedure
- Signing of Claim Form and notification are prepared by SKM personnel
to respective insurance companies.

Step 3.
|
- Estimators from SKM will prepare
estimate report to panel adjusters and Insurers
- Upon receiving the estimate report, panel adjusters will survey
insured's car when notification is received
- Cars are pending for repair instruction from either the panel adjusters
or the insurers.

Step 4.
|
- Once repair instruction is
received, cars are moved to production floor.
- Knocking, pulling and welding is attended to accident cars
- Changing of necessary spare parts
- After the knocking and spare parts changed process, the car is moved
to the painting department

Step 5.
|
- Plastering and cementing process
began on necessary area of the car
- Colours are precisely mixed to match the ordinary colour of the
car
- Spray painting works began in the spray painitng oven
|
Step 6.
|
- The body of the cars are now
complete
- Cars are moved to the next department-the mechanical department
- At this point of time, wiring, lightings, engine, aircond and radiator
system are check to ensure the mechanical parts are functioning and
fit on the road again
- After the checking of this mechanical system, normal car servicing
is attended to the car at a low price. However, this process is optional
and dependent on customers.

Step 7.
|
- Now the car
is fully repaired
- Quality check on the entire car will be performed by Quality control
personnel to ensure high quality workmanship
- Upon quality control checking, the car is now fit on the road again

ALL THE ABOVE PROCESS TAKES ABOUT 3 DAYS TO 3 WEEKS DEPENDENT ON THE
SERIOUSNESS OF THE CAR FROM THE ACCIDENT |
